We need you! Merchant City Festival 2017 is looking for volunteers to join our team and help deliver an outstanding event for 2017. The Merchant City Festival presents some of the best of Scottish and international work with a programme of street arts, music, design, food & drink, comedy, outdoor dance, and family activities, while at the same time showcasing the unique cultural hub that is Merchant City.
The purpose of this role is to provide additional support to artist/s at the festival, for example:
•Welcoming artist/s and accompanying them to backstage and performance areas
•Helping to make sure the artist/s have everything they require
•Assisting with the support and supervision of street-based work
•Communicating and collaborating with the wider delivery team. This might include the event operations team, production team, creative tram, event stewards and other volunteers.

• Able to travel to the Merchant City in Glasgow during the festival dates of from 22 – 30th July 2017.
With several different roles on offer, there is something for everyone to get involved in. Every volunteer will play a key part in helping us deliver the best event possible. All our volunteers will receive full briefings and will be fully supporte
Car parking is strictly limited, we would encourage you to use public transport.
St Enoch and Buchanan St subway stations are within walking distance of the Festival.
Queen St and Central Stations are within walking distance of the Festival.
Please check First Bus website for all services to and from the City Centre.
The Festival is accessible by foot from all the main transport hubs in the City Centre.
