Volunteer to take part in an exciting Street Theatre Programme!

Volunteer to be introduced to new street theatre techniques and learn fun performance skills then perform them during Glasgow Mela and Merchant City Festival!

Ricefield Chinese Art and Cultural Centre and Surge are looking for volunteers from Glasgow's Chinese and multi ethnic communities to get involved in developing and performing a brand new, Chinese inspired, walkabout street theatre piece.

You will be introduced to new street theatre techniques and learn fun performance skills. Anyone over 18 can join in. You'll take part in four days of workshops, 6pm to 9pm on the first four Tuesdays in May, learning about character creation, movement and improvisation. You'll then get to rehearse in your custom made costumes on 29th June to 1st July, before performing at the two festivals.

Local travel expenses are provided for all dates along with lunch on performance days

You must be available for all dates “

29th “ 30th July “ Merchant City Festival
